STRATHARDLE LODGE, Kirkmichael (Perth and Kinross)

Strathardle Lodge offers a selection of rooms: snug doubles on the first floor of the main building, king-sized rooms with views of the countryside, superior suites, and family rooms. Rooms 6 & 7 are part of the outside cottages, with Room 8 (Family Room) being fully wheelchair accessible. Rooms 6 & 7 have a small step for entry. Each room includes a shower or bath with overhead shower, a flat-screen Digital TV, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, and a hairdryer. A small fridge is available for chilled water and milk. Family rooms accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Breakfast is served in the main building, which is fully accessible with suitable toilets on the ground floor. Guests can use the fully stocked honesty bar, which offers licensed beers, wines, and spirits, along with snacks and microwave meals. Bar meals are available between 6 PM and 7:30 PM daily with pre-booking required by 4 PM.

Strathardle Lodge provides a guest lounge and in-house Cake School, with regular classes on the premises. Activities in the immediate area include golf, fishing, shooting, skiing, walking, cycling, and sightseeing. Glenshee ski resort, with over 40km of pisted runs, is 25 minutes away. The lodge sits at a cross roads of many scenic paths and trails.

Strathardle Lodge is located in Kirkmichael, Perthshire. It is 50 km from Dundee. The lodge is situated at the intersection on the Cateran Trail between Bridge of Cally and Spittal of Glenshee and the Cateran Mini trail, running between Kirkmichael and Cray. Edinburgh and Glasgow International Airports are approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away. A train from Glasgow or Edinburgh to Pitlochry is recommended. A taxi from Pitlochry to Strathardle Lodge costs around £30. The village shop, local bar, and restaurant are 500 meters away.

Strathardle Lodge offers free WiFi and a secure barn for bikes with an outside tap for cleaning. Dogs are welcome in the Honesty bar and designated rooms (Superior Suite or Family Rooms) for an extra cleaning charge of £15 per visit; dogs must be on a lead in the bar, lounge, dining room, and garden. A secure dog play area is accessible between the main building and the outside cottages. The lodge can provide pick-up and drop-off services at points along the Cateran Trail for £15 a day and arrange packed lunches. Room 8 is fully wheelchair accessible.
